Not for destructive unhealthy abusive situations, but great read

A wonderful read with a strong beautiful Christian foundation, this book is perfect if you're experiencing REGULAR everyday problems/differences in a marriage. With that said I feel extra sensitive about advising anyone to stay the course and use your relationship in service to God, when some relationships cross the line into abuse ( ie individuals who are sociopaths, physical violence, & psychological abuse) With such marital circumstances I'd highly recommend: Fool Proofing Your Life (Biblically based) & You Don't Have to Take it Anymore by S Stosny!!! It's sad that there are individuals who do not respond ... and even take advantage of their loving and compassion partners. If your partner reacts or even gets worse in response to love, submission, & compassion... you may be in an abusive relationship, of which a COMPLETELY different set of rules apply. Know your worthiness as a child of God, and study the bible's wisdom as how to deal with a fool. Hope this review helps someone :)

Cheaper and less effort than a divorce!

Excellent book. My wife and are reading it together of the course of a couple of months. We get through about a chapter or two a week because the dialogue it prompts at the end of the chapter takes us places we normally wouldn't go.
